From John Galliano’s Runway to my closet (via VPL Spring)

Ever since I saw the fashions out of Galliano’s Spring show from 2011 (his last after his horrible outburst), I was smitten with the look, and it’s been haunting me ever since.

These were just some of the styles that have been with me ever since the show.

So I really couldn’t get this all down in words – after all I’m an artist and images are better, but videos are best – so here’s a short one on how I took this  runway look and made it mine AND some little tidbits on updating your fashion look for spring and summer.   Remember this is an LPV (low-production video), but it covers most of the ideas.   If you want to see a larger version, click on the bottom right of the screen.

  1. Claire, what a lovely inspiration you are. Beautiful age appropriate interpretation tips. Once again, thank you for your generosity.

  2. What a perfect outfit, Claire. Love everything about it. Especially the tips on how to wear the belt and the rubber bands!

  3. Nice informative video ,Claire, and I love your outfit. I especially like your tip about wearing the belt higher than your natural waistline. I’m long-waisted so doing this would help “fool the eye” and help with my body proportion.

  4. Claire,
Brilliant idea about the belt – it never ocurred to me before. Perfect outfit.
