The Savvy Sage of Sewing Stimulation

Great British Sewing Bee – 2

Unfortunately GB & US don’t have compatible vid systems or some such malarkey, anyway, their player doesn’t work in the US.  Now that isn’t normally a prob, as there’s lots of outlets (PBS for Sherlock – don’t get me started on that series – or BBC America for other stuff) except when you want to get this little program then you have to scour YouTube on a regular basis to get it.

No Episode One as yet, but here’s Two, and it’s a lot of fun!

BTW godet (gaw’-dit – sounds like a Brit saying “got it”) took me a while to figure it out (sort of the same way the Brits say coe’-yote  instead of ki-yote-tee!!!).  Anyway it’s a godet (I pronounce it goe’-day) which as we sewist all know is a triangular piece inserted into a skirt which causes it to be fuller at the hem – it sort of “flips”!!!  But we all knew that didn’t we!!! 😉

BTW – I’m doing my teleseminar tonite – if you haven’t signed up (that’s how you get the info to get to the free teleseminar), click here – lots of neat stuff tonite

  1. I found Episode 1 here:
Waiting impatiently for Episode 3, which screened this past Tuesday apparently…

    • Thanks Lauren – I looked everywhere for #1 – hope we don’t have to wait too long for #3!!!

    • Dang – that’s not available in the US….this is the main prob – like Wilde said – we are two countries separated by a common language. Only in this case by incompatible video formats!!! Grrrrrrr!

  2. thank you for posting the video! Fun episode,

    • You bet – I was glad to see it online – finally!!! Apparently there are some probs to work out with the British owner and posting them on Youtube, so once those are worked out we can see the rest of it!

  3. This was great! I have heard wonderful things about this program but haven’t seen it until now. Thanks so much for bringing it us and look forward to seeing the next installment.
