Claire Kennedy Design Class Schedule

Classes are designed to be instructive and nurture your creative side. So come prepared to have fun and move your creativity skills to a higher level. Basic sewing skills are required: how to operate your machine, sew a seam, press, basic familiarity with patterns. If you have any questions about your skill level, contact me here. I do a beginner class so let me know (click above link) if you want to have a beginning session.

Beginning Sewing – June 27th & 28th
This is one of my most popular classes: Learn how to sew the correct way the first time. We will sew Simplicity 2339, which is a great blouse/shirt pattern to use. The class will include a tissue fit, assembly and finishing techniques that will make your blouse or shirt look professional and last for years to come. Sewing with Knits – July 29th & 30th
For those that couldn’t make the spring class, this is a repeat of a very popular class. This includes an fun afternoon at Helen Enox Fabrics to help you choose your pattern and fabric. This is an important part of this class, it’s free and I will have lots of info for you that you can use to help you put together the fabric and pattern correctly. Bernina of OKC, 6817 N. Curriculum
IF you’re not sure what you want to learn, contact me and I can develop a curriculum for you…or choose from some curriculum ideas here. Some suggestions are:
- mannequin,
- pants pattern,
- formal gown,
- Little Black Dress
- Your own project
- Special style or needs
- Specially designed curriculum
- Chanel Jacket (including fitting of muslin, quilting, assembly & trim detail) Note if you are interested in signing up for Chanel Jacket, please sign up for 3 sessions as this is the time required to make the jacket.

Saturday Classes are held at Helen Enox Fabrics, 1332 Southwest 59th, Oklahoma City. Please click on the link next to each class to sign up for classes @ Helen Enox.
Time
Classes at Bernina start at 10am to 4pm. Classes @ Helen Enox are on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Please contact me for information or questions about the class.
Although you will be able to take the class subject as you like, you can also have a class study topic of your choice. If you are not sure what you would like to do – contact me here, and I will help you set up a private curriculum for your needs.
Supplies You’ll Need for Class
Some usual supplies you will need for class:
- Sewing machine (if the classes are held at Bernina, you can call the store to make arrangements for working with a special machine)
- Scissors, pattern, fabric (although you can purchase fabric & pattern at Enox if you need)
- Sewing accessories you like by the machine, awl, seam remover, nippers, needles, all that equipment that you like to have by your machine.
