This is the updated class schedule for Claire Kennedy classes at either Bernina of OKC or Helen Enox Fabrics.  Please check back as classes dates and times are scheduled.  Click for info on Curriculum ideas, Times of classes, Locations and Supplies and an Index for class schedules.

Classes are designed to be instructive and nurture your creative side.  So come prepared to have fun and move your creativity skills to a higher level.  Basic sewing skills are required:  how to operate your machine, sew a seam, press,  basic familiarity with patterns.  If you have any questions about your skill level, contact me here.  I do a beginner class so let me know (click above link) if you want to have a beginning session.

05may2014Bernina of OKC – Pants Class, May 12th &
13th, 10am to 4pm
One of Claire’s most popular classes.  Pants are a cinch to sew up.  It actually only takes an afternoon at the longest.  But that’s after you have a GOOD pattern. You will leave class with a muslin that Claire will fit to you as well as  provide variations on the pant sloper to make a variety of pants (yoga leg cut, boot leg cut, straight leg, classic office pant, and more) and pant details ( side slant pockets, welt & besom pockets and more).

06jun2014Fit2U- June 2nd and June 27th, 10am to 4pm
During 30+ years of designing and fitting brides and debutantes, Claire knows how to fit.  We all have figure problems, and Claire is expert at fitting but also maximizing the best parts of your figure.  If you aren’t sure of your fit, or just want a re-fit on a garment or pattern, bring it for one or two days in June and  experience the professional fit Claire gives her design
clients.  You will not only learn how to fit yourself, but
learn what shapes and styles are best for your size and
shape.
Location: Bernina of OKC, 6817 N. May, Call (405)840-8911 to sign up or contact Claire here for more information.   $60/day

07jul2014The Mannequin Returns – July 14th &
15th, Monday & Tuesday, 10am to 4pm.
The mannequin is hands down one of the most useful tools you can have for fitting and rethinking patterns. It’s a short cut to all those fitting problems as well as working out some fun alternatives to your TNT (Tried ‘n True) patterns.  This is like the very expensive models that high-end retail stores use, only this model is adjustable (we sometimes change shapes in our lives!), and is about 1/3 the cost.  The cheaper dial-o-matic models do not allow you to pin to them and you certainly can’t iron on them.  You’ll leave class with a body double as well as instructions on how to use the mannequin.  Location: Bernina of OKC, 6817 N. May, Call (405)840-8911 to sign up or contact Claire here for more information.  For a supply list click here. $120
